A colorful music visualizer installation that visualizes audio input in real time from music files or aux input. There are two modes: a night sky with a gently cycling landscape, and an “LSD” mode with double rainbows. Each playthrough is unique, but the visualization is powered by live audio data, mainly: amplitude of specific frequency ranges, decay (for beats), and HPCP features.
I led a small team that worked on this installation over a couple sessions for USC Corpus Callosum, an organization which creates installations combining art and technology. We showed it off at a house party and the CoCa final showcase!
Built with OpenFrameworks and uses the Essentia C++ library for audio analysis.
